The beaches of Bali always offer inspiration and Kuta holds a reputation for the most popular beach destination on the island, where the sun and sea breeze is always a delight. The upscale Pullman Bali Legian Nirwana stretches across the seafront, a chic resort offering five star luxury and amenities. Inspired by the frangipangi flower, the edifice and its design invoke a sense of urban living that epitomises the best of Balinese hospitality.
The Deli @Pullman is a stylish new addition to the resort and features a contemporary Balinese design, and the choice of indoor or outdoor seating overlooking a tropical and tranquil setting. On the menu are healthy breakfasts, light meals and lots of sweet treats.
The dessert collection favours ice cream dishes and crepes, but somehow the Pastry Chef, Gede Juliarta, mixes it all with the Crispy Black Forest On Stone. Served on real stone the design of crispy thin puff pastry with dark cherry, fresh cream and chocolate mousse is a perfect combination of tastes creating an alternative and lighter version of the classic Black Forest cake.
Executive Chef, Thierry Schuller is the mastermind behind the culinary creations and he invited us to "Think out of the box," once the Pullman Surprise Box arrived. We were wondering what could be so special, but when we opened the lid we were pretty pleased to see a dark chocolate egg that made it feel like Easter. Even better was the filling of strawberry sponge cake, mango mousse, beetroot macaroons, with raspberry, strawberry and passion fruit coulis served in small tubes on the side.
As for drinks, the Paradise is a Mexican tequila with the soft touch of pineapple and melon liqueurs with a dash of grenadine and lime and top up of ginger ale. From the Martini Selection there's a Tropical Martini shaken or stirred, with Malibu rum, your choice of gin or vodka, Triple sec and pineapple liqueur with coco milk to enhance the after taste.
Pullman Bali Legian Nirwana aims to create an atmosphere of conviviality and social intimacy through a range of leisure facilities including a roof top infinity pool overlooking the breathtaking Indian Ocean, and an excellent culinary journey that will surprise your palate. \MA
